Brianna & Ricardo

Brianna & Ricardo were the other new couple I had the chance to work with on Saturday. I always love working with new couples!!! We started at the UofA and then migrated down to the downtown area to finish up their engagement portraits. They seemed to nail their photos each time I took a picture, they must have studied up on my style or something . . .

Anyway, another awesome session with a super fun couple. They are getting married this coming September @ Hacienda Del Sol, of which I am really looking forward to! It’s a really nice place although I have never had the opportunity to shoot a wedding there yet. Thanks again Brianna & Ricardo, have a super Christmas!

Katie & Dennis

I’m blogging here from chilly SLC with quite a bit of snow outside.  Wish I had the Tucson weather, which was amazing this past weekend!  These last weeks in December are always my busiest and this weekend was no exception.  I had an awesome opportunity to work with Katie & Dennis and their engagement portraits.  We started downtown, meandered around some of the interesting parts and then concluded the session at the UofA campus.  Weather was perfect and we had a blast (atleast I did!!)

Katie & Dennis are getting married this coming April @ the Stillwell House (this is where Jessica was married in October, pics from Stillwell House).  I’m super excited about working with them and can’t wait till the wedding!  Thanks again Katie & Dennis, you guys really made my weekend awesome!

Crystal & Todd!

Big kudos to Crystal & Todd for a fun day on Tuesday! We headed over to Trail Dust town for some fun portraits, made a quick stop at Long John’s (yes, the fast food joint, you’ll have to ask them all about it!) and then stopped off at the Tanque Verde Guest Ranch to finish up their engagement session.

Beautiful day for some awesome portraits, and their fun and laughter was just contagious :P  For all you photographers, processing was done with my own LR presets, Presetopia.com for details.

Crystal & Todd are getting married on probably the best day of the year . . . Feb 21 . . . my birthday :)  Thanks again guys, it was a lot of fun!

Emma & Danny

I had a super awesome time with a new couple I am working with, Emma & Danny.  They are getting married in January and it was time for their engagement photos, and a beautiful day it was!  We went to the La Encantada mall (big thanks to Melanie for allowing us on the beautiful property) and just had a blast there!  Beautiful place, hard to take a bad picture with a great couple and great location.  Anyways, the original plan was to go to the Zoo afterwards for some more photos, but it had closed at 4pm :(  For some strange reason I was under the impression that it stayed open later, but I was wrong I guess.  We left La Encantada mall and headed downtown for some more casual type portraits where we wrapped up the evening.

Super awesome couple, great locations, what more could I ask?  Thanks again guys, you are the best!  Here’s a couple teasers . . .

Amber & Carraig guestbook . . .

I just got done with a super awesome engagement guestbook for Amber & Carraig, who are getting married this coming January in the Virgin Islands.  We shot their engagement photos in St. Croix back in May, and it was extremely extremely awesome (I don’t use the word extremely very often).

This is not my normal engagement guestbook, because this is going to be a 12×8 wide format, making each spread an amazing 24″x8″!!!  I can’t wait for this one, it’s going to be super duper awesome.  If you are looking for the best engagement books, look no further . . .

(they may look a little small here, click to see a larger size!)

Christmas in . . . September?

I recently uploaded some images to share of some new Albums I had received back from my album manufacturers so that people can get a feel for what our albums are all about.  Well, it’s been a busy year and I received a wonderfully large package from GraphiStudio (album company based in Italy, yes, Italy) full of all sorts of little goodies!  Chock full of albums and samples.

GraphiStudio provides one of the finest album services in the entire industry and you can tell when you hold one of their albums for the first time.  These 2 albums below had the same amount of pages, but have different album covers.  The first is a RED Aluminum cover with the bride & groom name etched into the metal (this isn’t some cheesy stuff, it’s the real deal here).  The second is a fine Italian-leather with the bride & groom name embossed / branded into the leather for a permanent fix.  Each GraphiStudio album is printed on true photographic-paper, and you’ll notice from the last sample image, that each spread lays entirely flat.  Through this binding process, you lose very little (if any at all) in the gutter of the book, thus being able to utilize one entire picture for a large 12×18″ print.  Very nice.

You can see the reflection (sort of) on the cover, this is real aluminum.

Each page is mounted on a thick board to help protect each page from bending and warping.

The spine wraps around the entire back of the book.  These are very well made and very rugged (but do take care of them still!)

Here you can see the laser etching.

I loved the ivory leather, very very awesome.  Also, notice the names embossed onto the cover.

This unique leather style cover is a mix of traditional, yet contemporary with the image window here.

Again, the image window shown.

Here is a great example of why these books are AWESOME.  Your beautiful album design does not get lost in the gutter of the book!
