Ratliff Sneak Peak!

It was a beautiful afternoon yesterday, almost too perfect for some great family portraits at Agua Caliente.  This has been a hot spot lately for recent family portraits (no pun intended, hehe) and yesterday I had never seen it so green, so lush and so perfect.  I had a great time with the Ratliffs creating some new family portraits and they really are an exeptionally good-looking family :)  Thanks again guys, you rocked!

Dillon Family

I had such a blast with the Dillon family a week and a half ago, and have been a little slow at getting their pictures up on the blog. I was able to work with Brett and his Senior Portraits a couple months back, and now they all got together for a large family portrait. It was a beautiful day out with clear skies and nice weather, it couldn’t have been nicer. El Conquistador is the backdrop if you had not noticed. I must say that I laughed a whole lot with them, they are just an awesome family to be around!

You’ll see why I laughed a lot, they were just very spontaneous and fun to with! You’ll have to ask Brett what he was after with that last one . . .

Meet Baby Alyssa!

I had such a great time with Alyssa on Friday, it was just a ball! Alyssa turned 1 year old not too long ago and her parents wanted to make sure and document this momentous occasion! With a beautiful backyard, lots of fun toys and a darling bedroom, it was hard not to get cute pictures of her. I love the summer outfits and the innocence that shines through her eyes. She was just hammin’ it up!

Madera Canyon

I had never been south of Green Valley (well I have been to Nogales, but that was YEARS ago). I had a great time working with the Barney family in Madera Canyon, which is just southeast of Green Valley. Their family portraits came out just awesome! The canyon had beautiful scenery and the temperature was just perfect. It is kinda like Mt. Lemmon in that it’s a forest type area, but almost like a forest and desert. There was a small stream that went through the canyon, and even some bed & breakfast establishments. It takes about 1.25 hours to drive from Central Tucson, but it was nice.

The Barney’s have some of the cutest kids ever!

El Conquistador, Family & Senior - 02.22.08

Yesterday couldn’t have been a better day for photography. Beautiful light, nice cool weather and a great location! If you haven’t been to the El Conquistador Resort, it’s a cool place, really luxurious :)

Anyways, Courtney was just a super fantastic person to work with. Very easy going, willing to try everything, and very easy to take pictures of! It seemed that everything we tried just worked out awesome.

The Gardner’s are good friends and it was a true honor to be able to work with them. If you don’t know them, you’re really missing out. Anyways, enjoy their photos! Tell me what you think!

Here’s the family all together. Aren’t they are so coordinated? Absolutely love their choice of colors . . . and everyone smiled :)

Gates Pass - 02.16.08

It was a bright sunny day on Saturday where I had a great time with 2 different families. They had both wanted their family photographs near the very top of the valley there, and it was quite something. A beautiful place near sunset (although I left just as the sun fell below the horizon). Great place, nice hikes and beautiful scenery.

Note: hiking up the cliffs with 40lbs of gear wasn’t exactly a walk in the park! It was all but necessary considering the brightness of the whole scene as the first family would have been very dark without a large light next to them. The 2nd family would have been too bright and a gnasty orange color if I had not used the light as well. If that’s what it takes to get great portraits, I’m there!
